Job description

My client is a leading energy solution provider seeking to onboard a Civil Site Manager for an ongoing energy infrastructure project in the South-west.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

1. Manage site operatives, subcontractors, and site activities daily.
2. Develop and implement safety documentation, including construction phase plans, site quality plans, and risk assessments/method statements.
3. Conduct inspections, site inductions, Toolbox Talks, and Daily Briefings.
4. Prepare daily Safe System of Work (SSoW) and assign tasks.
5. Create and maintain Site-Specific Risk & Method Statements.
6. Develop and keep project schedules updated to ensure timely completion.
7. Perform regular site inspections to ensure safety compliance.
8. Communicate effectively with contractors.
9. Attend weekly progress meetings.
10. Resolve construction-related issues or conflicts.
11. Implement quality control measures throughout the project.
12. Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of project activities and labor, including a site diary.

Site Manager Requirements:

• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Desirable: Hold SSE authorization of at least CAT1C.
• Must have NSI 6 & 8 FULL certifications.
• Must possess SMSTS, First Aid at Work, SHEA Power/CSCS, Temporary Works Co-Ordinator & Supervisor certifications.
