Abatec is currently partnered with one of the largest and most recognised Earthmoving Contractors in the UK, involved in significant projects including groundworks on a £4b Major Project in Somerset and a £40m new build substation scheme in Bridgwater. We also have ongoing groundworks/earthworks schemes in Avonmouth and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will have experience working on civil engineering projects, with a focus on groundworks and earthworks.

As a Site Manager/Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing day-to-day site activities to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
2. Supporting and driving continuous improvement within the project delivery team.
3. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
4. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
5. Monitoring project progress, managing budgets and schedules effectively.
6. Identifying and mitigating risks to prevent project delays and cost overruns.
7. Leading site teams and fostering a positive, safety-focused working environment.

Candidate requirements:

• Valid CSCS Gold card or higher.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• CAT & Genny experience.
• Good understanding of health & safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Background in civil engineering.

Salary and benefits:

• £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, DOE.
• Company vehicle.
