Job summary

Galliford Try's Environment team is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to work on the AMP 8 Severn Trent programme. The role is based around Nottinghamshire with site-based duties and occasional hybrid working, travel to offices when required.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary designers and project engineers, lead construction-stage documentation, secure external permits, manage resources and subcontractors, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure delivery on major projects.
• Understanding of NEC4 contractual requirements.
• Knowledge of current legislation, QA, H&S, and CDM.
• Strong time management and deadline-driven capability.
• Adaptable mindset with willingness to learn and adopt new ways.
• Effective communication and ability to give constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external multi-discipline designers and Project Engineers.
• Lead on producing construction stage documentation and obtain permits.
• Engage and manage internal resources and sub-contractors through all phases.
• Act as liaison between Client, stakeholders and supply chain with clear programming.
• Build and maintain relationships with teams, clients and partners.
• Support programme reviews, cost management and delivery processes using CDE.
• Mentor and coach team members and contribute to site meetings.
• Participate in design, progress and site meetings.
