Amey Group Services LTD invites you to join the CAFA team in Cardiff for an 8–12 week Civil Engineering summer placement. You will engage in analytical tasks, inspections, and reporting while gaining insight into Amey’s infrastructure work and a potential Graduate Pathway.

Applicants should be studying Civil Engineering with a UK driving licence, and must meet Personal Track Safety requirements. A supportive learning environment and clear development paths are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Strong interest in structural assessment and railway infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine load carrying capacity.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options for structures.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
