Job summary

Amey is seeking a motivated civil engineering placement in the Structures Assessment Team. You will contribute to numerical analysis, inspection planning, and reporting on railway structures across Crawley, York, Liverpool or Cardiff.

Applicants should be studying Civil Engineering, hold or work toward a UK driving licence, and meet the Personal Track Safety requirement. A supportive, inclusive environment with learning and development opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) requirement.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures
• Proposing strengthening and maintenance options
• Planning and undertaking bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition
• Developing innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities
• Prepare technical drawings and reports
