Job summary

Kier Group is offering an Industrial Placement Civil Engineer role in Ipswich as part of the Sizewell C infrastructure team. You will assist planning, coordination, design and on-site management, with mentorship from experienced professionals throughout a 12‑month placement.

Starting salary is £27,976 per annum, with a 12-month pathway and potential to progress to a Graduate position. Placement starts September 2027 and requires an ICE-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree or

Qualifications

ICE-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree (or working towards).
Interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering and construction.
Ability to work in a team with collaboration and reliability.
Analytical and critical thinking with attention to detail.
Hold a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, coordination, design and management of construction projects.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support project objectives.
Conduct research and analysis to inform project decisions.
Prepare reports, presentations and documentation related to project activities.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem solving.
