Job summary

Amey in Glasgow is offering a Civil Engineer Summer Intern placement within the NMC SW team. The role involves data collation, inspections, and supporting project administration on diverse highway projects. You will gain insight into life at Amey and may apply for our Graduate Pathway after your studies.

We welcome students currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and offer a structured learning programme, with a 40-hour work week and an hourly salary, starting July 2027 at 12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with data collation and quality checks.
• Familiarity with safety compliance requirements.
• Ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and effective collation of data.
• Carry out inspections in accordance with standards and codes.
• Ensure contract compliance on data quality management issues.
• Comply with health and safety legislation.
• Communicate with third-party claims team to provide evidence.
• Assist with establishment and implementation of inspection programmes.
• Assist with project administration as required.
• Record time accurately in project control systems.
• Liaise with OCR and staff to ensure timely completion of planning, operations and works.
• Assist with preparation of reports and documents.
