Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Civils Team. The role covers a range of multidisciplinary projects from feasibility to construction support, across residential, commercial and broader infra schemes.

You’ll develop technical delivery and project management skills, collaborating with design teams across the UK and Ireland, with opportunities to work on highways, rail, water, and solar projects. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (BEng) and/or Master’s degree (MEng).
• Experience delivering highways and drainage design for residential, commercial, and wider infrastructure schemes.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS is welcomed but not essential, with interest in AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and lead technical designs and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Check and coordinate studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks and flood risk.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Attend project meetings and communicate technical solutions.
