Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Civils Team in the United Kingdom. The role covers feasibility, technical support for planning, detailed design for implementation and post‑award support through construction.

You will work on highways, rail, water infrastructure and other sectors, taking on increasing responsibility for technical delivery and project management in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) required.
• Experience in highways and drainage design within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency with industry software (InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with technical designs and digital delivery of civil projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Coordinate studies and conceptual designs for drainage, highways, and utilities.
• Liaise with regulators and stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Attend meetings and communicate technical solutions clearly.
