Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Civils Team in the UK. The role offers a path to greater project responsibility and leadership, spanning feasibility through construction support, within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will work on residential-led schemes, coordinate with regulatory bodies, and deliver technical designs using industry tools. Hybrid working, career development, and access to AECOM University are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (BEng) and/or Master’s (MEng).
• Experience delivering highways and drainage design for residential, commercial and wider infrastructure schemes.
• Proficient in InfoDrainage, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with developer clients and contractors; familiarity with ArcGIS welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead when required, the technical designs and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Check and coordinate the production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks and flood risk.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Attend project meetings and confidently communicate technical solutions.
