Job summary

AECOM seeks a Civil Engineer with highways and drainage expertise to join our Belfast team. The role spans feasibility, planning support, and detailed design, with construction-phase involvement. You will contribute to a wide portfolio including highways, rail, water, and solar projects across the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (BEng) and/or Master's degree (MEng).
• Experience delivering highways and drainage design for residential, commercial, and wider infrastructure schemes.
• Proficient in industry-standard software, including InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience working with developer clients and contractors, delivering infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS welcomed, with an interest in AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical designs and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Check and coordinate the production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk).
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to bids and proposals, attend project meetings, and communicate technical solutions.
