Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Civils Team. The role covers a wide range of multidisciplinary, residential-led infrastructure projects from feasibility through design and construction support.

You will develop technical deliverables, manage project elements, and coordinate surveys, studies, and stakeholder reviews to secure approvals. AECOM offers a flexible hybrid working model and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree (BEng) and/or Master’s degree (MEng).
• Relevant consultancy experience delivering highways and drainage design for residential, commercial, and wider infrastructure schemes.
• Proficient in industry-standard software including InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and lead the technical designs and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Check and coordinate studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, flood risk).
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Attend project meetings and communicate technical solutions.
