Job summary

AECOM Civil Engineering in the UK is seeking a suitably experienced Civil Engineer to support a portfolio spanning drainage design, highways, defence schemes and data centre projects. You will work with a wide transport and utilities team across the UK and abroad, contributing to technical delivery and project management on diverse assignments.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements with opportunities to grow into more senior responsibilities, and to help deliver resilient infrastructure

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree and/or master's degree.
• Relevant UK development related infrastructure engineering experience.
• Ability to produce the design of highways, access roads and infrastructure including road geometry, public realm, earthworks, pavements, drainage and services.
• Knowledge of road design using 3D modelling packages (Civil 3D).
• Knowledge of drainage design including piped and SuDS systems; familiarity with storage design and InfoDrainage.
• Demonstrable progress towards a professional qualification (IEng/CEng) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
• Check and coordinate the production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk).
• Contribute to the design and delivery of highways, drainage, and infrastructure for complex developments.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to bids and proposals, attend project meetings, and confidently communicate technical solutions.
