West Berkshire Council is recruiting a Civil Enforcement Officer to join our Parking Services team. You will patrol streets and council car parks across West Berkshire, issue Penalty Charge Notices, and act as a professional ambassador for the council.
We welcome applicants from customer service, security, policing or public-facing roles and will provide full training. The role requires good communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Are you confident, customer-focused and enjoy working outdoors? Do you have the ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with people fairly and professionally?
West Berkshire Council is seeking a Civil Enforcement Officer to join our Parking Services team.
Whether you already have experience in parking enforcement or come from a customer service, security, policing, military, emergency services or other public-facing background, we would love to hear from you.
We are committed to training the right person and will provide full training and support to help you succeed in the role.
While experience in parking enforcement or a similar role would be advantageous, it is not essential. We recognise that many of the skills needed to succeed as a Civil Enforcement Officer can be gained in other roles.
If you can demonstrate the right attitude, customer focus and willingness to learn, we will provide the training needed to develop you into a successful Civil Enforcement Officer.
