Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Design Engineer to join a growing civil engineering team in Swindon. You will produce and review designs for highways, drainage, earthworks and utilities, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure project success.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering and experience in infrastructure design, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage. Collaboration with project managers and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as a Design Engineer in civil infrastructure.
• Knowledge of highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
• Familiarity with DMRB, S278, S38, S104 and Sewers for Adoption.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil designs for infrastructure projects.
• Produce calculations, drawings, reports and specs.
• Design highways, drainage, earthworks and utilities.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients.
• Lead design reviews and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with standards and health & safety.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical and environmental teams.
• Support delivery from feasibility to construction.
• Attend site visits and client presentations.
• Provide construction-stage design support and resolve queries.
