Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a NEAT Team Operative/Driver for Berwick-upon-Tweed. The role covers street cleansing, public conveniences and grounds maintenance, following predetermined schedules to high standards.

You will operate appropriate tools, perform vehicle checks and adhere to CoSHH safety policies while working on-site at Tweedmouth Depot. The job requires weekend availability, a full driving licence, and knowledge of relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• You must be a trained Grounds, Public Convenience and Street Cleansing Operative with experience of carrying out vehicle checks and experience in CoSHH safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient street cleansing, public convenience and grounds-maintenance services to predetermined standards and schedules.
• Carry out vehicle checks and operate related tools and equipment.
• Work outdoors in all weathers and traffic conditions and be available to work at weekends.
