Job summary

Northumberland County Council seeks a Grounds, Public Convenience and Street Cleansing Operative to provide an efficient street cleansing, public convenience and grounds-maintenance service to pre-determined standards and schedules.

Based at Stakeford Depot, Choppington, you will work outdoors in all weathers, comply with COSHH safety policies, carry out vehicle checks and hold a full driving licence, with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• You must be a trained Grounds, Public Convenience and Street Cleansing Operative.
• Experience with vehicle checks and COSHH safety policies.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Knowledge of the range of tasks and operation of associated tools and equipment.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Work outdoors in all weathers and traffic conditions.

Responsibilities

• You will provide an efficient and effective street cleansing, public convenience and grounds-maintenance service to predetermined standards and in accordance with predetermined schedules.
• Follow predetermined schedules and operate related tools and equipment as required.
• Work outdoors in all weathers and traffic conditions.
