Job summary

Reel Cinemas is seeking a proactive General Manager to lead a busy cinema venue, drive guest experiences, and deliver profitable operations. You will oversee programming, events, and community engagement while managing a skilled team across admissions, hospitality and technical staff.

You will champion a customer-first culture, ensure safety and compliance, and build partnerships to grow private hire revenue and regional presence in the community.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in cinema, hospitality, or entertainment venue management.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to hospitality.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with budgeting and performance analysis experience.
• Demonstrated success in sales, event/venue hire revenue, or business development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Passion for cinema and the entertainment industry; adaptable and travel-ready.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the cinema’s performance, driving admissions, revenue and standards.
• Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and enhance the guest offer.
• Lead partnerships with local businesses and drive private hires and events.
• Design and implement innovative event packages and experiences to build repeat business.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching and team development.
