Job summary

FläktGroup UK is seeking a commercially astute Business Development Manager to originate and manage major client relationships across the UK Chiller HVAC market. The role reports to the Sales Director and focuses on growing strategic accounts and driving high‑value projects.

You will blend commercial acumen with technical HVAC knowledge to deliver tailored cooling solutions, while coordinating with internal teams to win tenders and contracts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Chiller/HVAC sector.
• Strong technical understanding of Chiller systems and HVAC applications.
• Proven success in business development and account management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience managing Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across the UK Chiller HVAC market.
• Strengthen relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors, and end users.
• Deliver engaging technical and commercial presentations.
• Manage projects from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and handover.
• Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, manufacturing, marketing).
• Review tenders, specs, and drawings to develop competitive proposals.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within existing accounts.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Produce sales forecasts and support strategic business plans.
