Job summary

Howard Finley is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Children and Young People Disability Team in Chatham, Kent. The role focuses on working with children aged 0-18 with disabilities and delivering person-centred assessments, care plans and multi-agency collaboration.

The position offers hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office), a permanent contract, and a salary between £39,823 and £50,425 depending on experience and market premiums.

Qualifications

• ASYE completed and registered (or eligible).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
• Strong safeguarding and welfare focus for children and families.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with children, families, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments of children and young people’s needs.
• Develop and review care and support plans.
• Coordinate care packages with health, education and social care.
• Work with families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare at all times.
• Comply with relevant legislation and professional standards.
