Knowsley Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities team to deliver statutory social work for children and young people up to age 18. The role involves assessing needs, planning services and coordinating with families and partners to improve outcomes in a hybrid working pattern.

Applicants must be registered with Social Work England and have experience in statutory children’s services. DBS enhanced is required and the role supports flexible working options.

Formación

• Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England.
• Experience in statutory children’s social work.
• Ability to assess children and families and manage caseloads.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to relationship-based and strengths-based practice.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a varied caseload of children and young people within statutory services.
• Assess needs, risks and circumstances to develop support plans.
• Undertake direct work with children, young people and families.
• Safeguard and promote safety and wellbeing of children.
• Coordinate bespoke packages of support with partner agencies.
• Maintain up-to-date case records and meet statutory deadlines.
• Contribute to supervision, meetings and multi-agency work.
