Job summary

Kent County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker for the Strengthening Independence Service, Disabled Children's Team in West Kent. The role offers full-time permanent employment with hybrid working, requiring weekly office presence for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

You will support disabled children and young people aged 0–17 to progress toward independence, work with families, and liaise with professionals to create care plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
• Be registered with Social Work England.
• Post-qualification experience working with children and/or adults and their families.

Responsibilities

• Work with disabled children and young people aged 0–17 to progress towards independence.
• Support Children in Need, Court applications, Children in Care and Child Protection.
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop care plans and meet identified needs.
• Ensure accurate, up-to-date records using appropriate IT systems.
