Job summary

Vetro Social Care in Wales is recruiting a Children's Support Worker for Transitional Services to support children in their homes on a 2:1 or 1:1 basis.

The role involves safeguarding, promoting wellbeing, and providing emotional and practical support during waking nights (8pm–8am) in Abertillery. The post offers excellent pay rates, weekly pay, free food on shift, and opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience of working with children or within a similar Social Care setting.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• To support the children and young people in all day to day activities and interests.
• To promote the young persons independence and wellbeing.
• To protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare.
• To provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home.
• To ensure the safety of young people by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines.
• To support, overcome and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging.

• Pay: £14.25 - £28.48 inclusive of holiday pay

• Time : 8pm - 8am (Waking nights only)
