Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children’s Support Worker for Caerleon, Wales. The role involves supporting children and young people in daily activities, promoting independence, and safeguarding welfare.

Waking nights from 6pm to 6am are required, with competitive hourly pay and weekly/holiday pay included. Applicants should have at least 6 months of relevant care experience, an Enhanced DBS, and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, caring and resilient nature.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.
• At least 6 months experience of working with children or within a similar Social Care setting.

Responsibilities

• To support the children and young people in all day to day activities and interests.
• To promote the young persons independence and wellbeing.
• To protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare.
• To provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home.
• To ensure the safety of young people by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines.
• To support, overcome and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging.

Title: Children's Support Worker
Pay: £14.25 - £28.48 inclusive of holiday pay
Location - Caerleon
Time : 6pm - 6am (Waking nights only)
