Active Assistance, a service provided by Active Care Group, is hiring a part-time Children's Support Worker in the Thatcham area. You will support a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and epilepsy in her family home. The role requires driving to the rural location and shifts are 2 evenings per week (2pm-10pm) plus a weekend day.

Full specialist training is provided. Scheduled rotas are advanced, with ongoing care from a dedicated Care Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be a driver with a car due to rural location.
• Previous experience with autism is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support one young client with complex health needs in her family home.
• Provide consistent care on two weekday evenings and one weekend day per week.
• Receive full specialist training and ongoing support from the Care Manager.

Our client is a 10 year old little girl who has cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and epilepsy.She has autism with PDA profile and suffers with anxiety and demand avoidance and has challenging behaviours associated with this. Previous experience with autism would be beneficial.Our client is a sociable and curious young person who loves being outdoors, dancing, climbing, gymnastics and exploring new activities. She enjoys praise and encouragement and thrives with familiar, supportive adults who understand her communication style and can help her feel safe, confident and regulated.Full specialist training will be provided.**When you will be working:*** **Part time - 2 evenings a week (2pm-10pm) plus a weekend day shift**In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance.
