Job summary

Active Assistance is looking for a part-time Children's Support Worker to help care for a young boy in Redruth. The role involves evenings and weekend shifts on a flexible zero-hours contract, with a focus on consistency and quality of care.

We provide full specialist training, shadow shifts, DBS checks, and ongoing support from a Childrens Care Manager. The position offers a rewarding opportunity to enhance clinical skills within a dedicated care team.

We'd like you to join us as a Children's Support Worker to care for our young client in Redruth.

What you'll be doing:

This role is to support a wonderful 11 year old boy with complex clinical health needs in his own home, where he lives with his family and dogs. Our clients’ needs include learning disabilities, PEG feed, challenging behaviour, non-verbal, epilepsy and he wears splints. We will provide full specialist training and shadow shifts. This is a rewarding role where you can work with one child, enhancing his life every week. It is also a great opportunity to enhance your clinical skills.

Shifts:

• Weekday evenings (4.15pm-8.15pm) and weekends (12pm-8pm) Approx 2-3 shifts a week available, plus additional shifts to cover sickness/annual leave
• In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
