Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Children’s Support Worker in Redruth to care for an 11-year-old boy with complex health needs at his family home. The role is part-time, with weekday evenings and Saturdays, under a zero-hours contract and potential additional shifts as needed.

You will receive full specialist training and shadow shifts, with ongoing support from our Children’s Care Manager and access to a Nest Personal Pension.

Come and join Active Care in the Home. We’d like you to join us as a Children’s Support Worker to care for our young client in Redruth

What you’ll be doing:

This role is to support a wonderful 11 year old boy with complex clinical health needs in his own home, where he lives with his family and dogs. Our clients needs include learning disabilities, PEG feed, challenging behaviour, non‑verbal, epilepsy and he wears splints. We will provide full specialist training and shadow shifts. This is a rewarding role where you can work with one child, enhancing his life every week. It is also a great opportunity to enhance your clinical skills.

Shifts:

Weekday evenings 4.15pm-8.15pm Approx 2 shifts a week available, plus additional shifts to cover for other team members sickness/annual leave Flexibility to cover weekend shifts when needed

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero‑hours contract.
