Job summary

Active Assistance in Llandudno is recruiting part-time Children's Support Workers to support a child with autism and ADHD in the family home and community activities.

Shifts total 10 hours per week: two weekday evenings (4:30pm-7:30pm) and one 4-hour weekend shift, with regular set shifts. The role operates on a zero-hours contract, with training and ongoing support from a Care Manager.

Qualifications

• Support a non-verbal child with autism in home and community activities.
• Able to work with another Support Worker across all shifts.
• Commitment to safeguarding and following care plans under supervision.

About the role: Active Assistance are expanding our client base and have a new children's care package in Llandudno. We're looking to recruit part time Children's Support Workers to support a little boy who has autism, ADHD, epilepsy and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting him in his family home (where he lives with his mum and brother) and taking him out to do activities out in the community. You will be working alongside another Support Worker for all shifts. Our client is an energetic young boy who loves trampolining, running and being outside and free. He is very sociable and likes affection. He also enjoys watching his iPad and cartoons. He is non-verbal but is able to communicate his needs and wants.

While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.

Shifts available:

This is a part time role, for 10 hours a week 2 x weekday evenings (4.30pm-7.30pm) and 1 x 4hr shift at the weekend Regular set shifts every week
