Job summary

Active Assistance is expanding its team to care for a new 17-year-old client in Llanrug, providing 1:1 support in her family home and community locations. A driver with a car is required due to the rural location.

You will join a dedicated care team, receive full specialist training, and work on fixed weekly shifts with ongoing rotas, including Fridays, Saturdays, and occasional midweek coverage. A supportive care manager will back you.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driving license and own car to travel to client’s rural home.
  • Provide 1:1 care to a 17-year-old client with complex needs and epilepsy, in home and community settings.
  • Full specialist training provided by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Support the client on a 1:1 basis in her home and in the community.
  • Follow rotas and participate in weekly shifts with a stable client.
  • Be part of a caring team and report to the Care Manager.

About the role:

Active Assistance are expanding our client base. We’re looking to recruit a brand-new team of Support Workers to care for our brand new young client in Llanrug.

Our client is a 17 year old teenage girl who lives at home with her family. She has complex health needs including wheelchair user, non-verbal, PEG fed and epilepsy. You will be supporting her on a 1:1 basis. We will provide full specialist training.

Due to the rural location of the client’s home, you will need to be a driver with a car.

Shifts available:
  • Fridays (8am-6pm) and Saturdays (8am-4pm)
  • Plus occassional cover for Wednesday and Thursday shifts when other support worker is off
  • Package is likely to increase so more hours likely to be available!

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
