Job summary

Active Care in the Home is seeking a Children's Support Worker for weekend day shifts in Eastbourne. You will join a small care team to support a 13-year-old boy with cerebral palsy in his family home and in the community, working 2:1 with another worker.

Full specialist training is provided and you’ll be supported by a Care Manager. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays 10am–7pm, with possible after-school shifts and holiday adjustments.

About the role:

Active Care in the Home are expanding our client base, and have a new children's care package in Eastbourne.

This role is to support our brand new client, a 13 year old boy, with cerebral palsy and developmental delay in his family home and out in the community (you will be working alongside another support worker as package is 2:1 care).

Full specialist training will be provided.

When you will be working:

• Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-7pm
• Also possible after school shifts
• During school holidays this would change to 4 days a week (10am-2.30pm)

In this role, you'll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.
