Active Care Group in Penarth is seeking a part-time care worker to support an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and non-verbal communication. You will work alongside another support worker on a 2:1 basis, delivering care in the family home and in the community.
Shifts are Tue/Thu 3pm-7pm and Sat (7h). Term time adjustments; occasional sleeping nights from Oct. Training provided; holiday pay, Nest pension, and ongoing support from the Care Manager.

Active Care in the Home are expanding our client base, and have a new children's care package in Penarth. This role is to support our brand new client, an 11 year old girl, in her family home and out in the community. Our client has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, has a VP shunt, and is non-verbal and has behavioural challenges. You will be working alongside another support worker for all shifts (2:1 care).
Tuesday and Thursday evenings (3pm-7pm) and Saturdays (7hr long day shift) – please note that this is for term time and in school holiday time will change to Tues/Thurs/Sat 12pm-5pm. We will also have sleeping nights (10pm-8am) available from October. In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.
