Job Title: Children’s Support Worker

Your role as a Children’s Support Worker involves working closely with children in care, focusing on their needs and well-being. You will support them in educational activities, hobbies, and daily routines, contributing to positive outcomes and shaping their future.

Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in providing the best care for children and young people. You will work across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Education, and Residential care.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting and safeguarding children and young people's well-being
  • Assisting with daily routines, including community and educational activities
  • Organizing and facilitating social activities
  • Transportation responsibilities
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe practices
  • Providing supervision and support
  • Working in compliance with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Managing complex behaviours and crisis situations
  • Contributing to care plans and risk assessments
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in a child or young adult setting
  • Must be over 21 years old
  • Knowledge in EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People; Level 4 is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS (cost £45.40, refundable after a set period of work); application available upon registration
