Your Role

As a Children’s Support Worker, you will work closely with children in care, focusing on their needs. Your daily responsibilities will include supporting children in educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities, contributing to positive outcomes that help shape their futures.

You should be highly motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in providing the best care for children and young people. You will work across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Education, and Residential care.

Responsibilities

• Supporting, safeguarding, and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people
• Assisting with daily routines in community and educational settings
• Organising and facilitating social activities
• Transportation
• Working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe practices
• Providing supervision and support
• Complying with Ofsted and CQC regulations
• Managing complex behaviours and crisis interventions
• Contributing to care plans and risk assessments

Requirements

• At least 12 months of post-qualification experience in a child or young adult setting
• Over 21 years old to meet industry regulations
• Knowledge in EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
• Diploma Level 3 in Children’s and Young People; Level 4 desirable
