Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting for a Female Support Worker to care for a 10-year-old girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy in Altrincham. You will work with another support worker on a part-time, flexible, zero-hours contract, with shifts Tue/Thu 4pm-8pm and Sun 10am-8pm.

The role involves engaging the child in activities she enjoys, including outdoor play, arts and crafts and cooking, with training and ongoing support provided. A stable pattern and career progression are offered.

Responsibilities

• Care for a 10-year-old girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy who uses a wheelchair and may require hoisting.
• Engage the child in activities such as riding a bike, arts and crafts, baking, cooking and watching movies.
• Work as part of a consistent two-person care team across shifts to keep her busy and entertained.

About the role:

Active Assistance are expanding our client base, and have a new children's care package in Altrincham. We're looking to recruit Children's Support Workers to care for a 10 year old girl who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she uses a wheelchair and requires hoisting. You will be working alongside another Support Worker for all shifts. The role will involve keeping her busy and entertained, participating in activities with her. She loves being outside, riding her adapted bike, doing arts and crafts, cooking and baking. She also has a cinema room and enjoys watching movies in there.

Shifts available:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays (4pm-8pm)
• Sundays (10am-8pm)
• Part time - 18 hours a week available

In this role, you'll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
