Job summary

Active Assistance are expanding our client base with a new children care package in Altrincham. We are recruiting Children’s Support Workers to care for a 10-year-old girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, who uses a wheelchair and requires hoisting.

You’ll work alongside another Support Worker across Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Sundays, 4pm-8pm and 10am-8pm, on a flexible zero-hours contract. You’ll help keep her busy with activities like riding her adapted bike, arts and crafts, baking, and

• Female candidate required due to genuine occupational requirement.
• Part-time role with set shifts: Tue/Thu 4pm-8pm and Sun 10am-8pm.

Responsibilities

• Care for a 10-year-old girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy who uses a wheelchair and hoist.
• Engage in activities to keep her busy and entertained: outdoor time, cycling, arts and crafts, baking and cinema time.
• Work as part of a two-person team with regular weekly rotas and ongoing training and support.

About the role:

Active Assistance are expanding our client base, and have a new children's care package in Altrincham.

We’re looking to recruit Children's Support Workers to care for a 10 year old girl who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she uses a wheelchair and requires hoisting. You will be working alongside another Support Worker for all shifts.

The role will involve keeping her busy and entertained, participating in activities with her. She loves being outside, riding her adapted bike, doing arts and crafts, cooking and baking. She also has a cinema room and enjoys watching movies in there.

• Tuesdays and Thursdays (4pm-8pm)
• Sundays (10am-8pm)
• Part time - 18 hours a week available

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
