Job summary

Leaders in Care is currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker for a MASH & Assessment role in the West Country. This position offers a flexible hybrid working pattern, low caseloads, and a supportive management team to help you deliver high-quality child and family assessments.

You will handle referrals, conduct initial visits, assess risk, and work with multi-agency partners to determine the most appropriate service pathway.

Qualifications

• Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience in Duty & Assessment, Referral & Assessment, or Front Door.
• Strong assessment and risk management skills.

Are you an experienced MASH & Assessment Social Worker looking for a role that offers manageable caseloads, flexible working, and strong management support?

We’re working with a highly regarded local authority in the West Country that is currently recruiting experienced Social Workers to join its MASH & Assessment Service.

This authority is committed to keeping caseloads low and manageable, giving practitioners the time and space to complete high-quality assessments and make well-informed decisions that lead to positive outcomes for children and families.

The Role

• You will be responsible for carrying out timely assessments and interventions, including:


• Completing Child and Family Assessments Responding to referrals and undertaking initial visits


• Managing duty responsibilities and safeguarding concerns


• Conducting Section 47 enquiries where required


• Risk assessment and decision-making


• Multi-agency partnership working


• Progressing cases to the most appropriate service pathway


• Working closely with children, families, and partner agencies
