Job summary

Leaders in Care is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for a MASH & Assessment role in the South Coast region, Bristol-area. The position offers flexible hybrid working, low caseloads, and a minimum 6-month contract with strong management support to ensure high-quality assessments for children and families.

You will assess, refer, and coordinate safeguarding with partner agencies, while benefiting from ongoing training and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Experience in Duty & Assessment, Referral & Assessment, or Front Door service.
• Strong assessment and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out timely assessments and interventions as part of MASH & Assessment.
• Responding to referrals and undertaking initial visits.
• Managing duty responsibilities and safeguarding concerns.
• Conducting Section 47 enquiries where required.
• Risk assessment and decision-making.
• Multi-agency partnership working.
• Progressing cases to the most appropriate service pathway.

We're working with a highly regarded local authority in the West Country that is currently recruiting experienced Social Workers to join its MASH & Assessment Service.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out timely assessments and interventions, including:

• Completing Child and Family Assessments Responding to referrals and undertaking initial visits
• Managing duty responsibilities and safeguarding concerns
• Conducting Section 47 enquiries where required
• Risk assessment and decision-making
• Multi-agency partnership working
• Progressing cases to the most appropriate service pathway
• Working closely with children, families, and partner agencies
