Job summary

Cambian Group PLC is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Care Worker for our Colchester, Essex home. The role involves providing 1:1 emotional support, creating a warm, safe environment, and supporting educational goals for children aged 4–12.

Training is provided, and a flexible, compassionate attitude is essential. Applicants should be adaptable and resilient, with a willingness to work rotational shifts and mandatory sleep-ins.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Available for rotational shifts and mandatory sleep-ins.
• Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 emotional support and guidance to our children and young people.
• Create a warm, safe home environment
• Plan and attend off-site social activities and support educational goals.
• Maintain daily logs and write accurate reports for care planning and review meetings.
• Be a strong advocate for our young people
