Job summary

Caretech is seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Care Worker for our Colchester home in Essex. You will provide 1:1 emotional support, create a warm, safe home, and help with education goals and social activities.

New staff receive full training, with a funded NVQ Level 4 after 6 months and a two-week induction. A full UK driving licence is preferred, and you must be flexible for rotational shifts and sleep-ins in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Must be available for rotational shifts and mandatory sleep-ins.
• Comfortable using electronic care recording system daily; Clearcare experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 emotional support and guidance to children and young people.
• Create a warm, safe home environment.
• Plan and attend off-site social activities and support educational goals.
• Maintain daily logs and write accurate reports for care planning and review meetings.
• Be a strong advocate for our young people.
