Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking enthusiastic residential care workers to support children and young people in our care. You will build strong relationships, plan engaging activities, and provide one-on-one support in a warm, safe environment.

No two days are the same: you may lead activities, accompany trips, or help with daily tasks, including household routines. Training is provided and DBS checks are completed; prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, just commitment and passion for working with young people.
• Full UK driving license preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing emotional support during challenging times
• Fostering ambition in young people and helping them reach goals
• Supporting in educational pursuits of young people
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for meetings
• Empowering young people to participate in decision-making
• Acting as advocate in meetings regarding the young person
• Encouraging community engagement and attending off-site activities
• Meeting the needs of children by organising social activities and home duties (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping)
