Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking compassionate residential care workers to support children and young people in a residential setting. You will build strong relationships, plan engaging activities, provide one-on-one support, and accompany young people on off-site trips.

No formal experience required; a positive, can-do attitude is valued. Sleep-ins paid at £30 per shift with additional training, DBS covered, and a structured induction.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Full UK driving licence preferable but not essential.
• No prior experience necessary, just commitment and passion for working with young people.
• Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support during challenging times.
• Foster ambition in young people and help them achieve goals.
• Support in educational pursuits of the young people.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for meetings.
• Empower young people to participate in decisions about their lives.
• Advocate in meetings where the young person is discussed.
• Encourage community engagement and off-site activities.
• Meet the needs of children and young people and maintain the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
