Salary: £55,000 basic
Location: Wolverhampton, WV10
Home Size: 3 Bed EBD

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care — applications from Deputies looking to step up will not be considered
- At least 6–9 months' experience following completion of the Ofsted registration process
- Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and children's home regulations
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD
- Previous therapeutic experience is desirable
- Alternatively, a genuine interest in developing within a therapeutic children's home setting
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead and develop a residential childcare team
- Passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and positive outcomes
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the 3-bed EBD children's home
- Maintain the home's Good Ofsted rating and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
- Lead and develop the staff team, promoting high standards of care and professional practice
- Ensure safeguarding, risk management and care planning are consistently maintained
- Provide effective leadership within a therapeutic and child-centred environment
- Ensure children receive individualised care that meets their needs and promotes positive outcomes
- Oversee staffing, rotas, performance, supervision and team development
- Maintain strong quality assurance and compliance across the home
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers and other professionals
- Work closely with the two Responsible Individuals and wider senior management team
- Support occupancy and placement planning while ensuring placements remain appropriate to the home's Statement of Purpose
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards across the service
- Promote a positive, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people
