Children's Home Registered Manager

Location: Barnsley

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Full Time: 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £46,581.23 through Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses

We are seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager to join our services in Barnsley, managing a one-bed home.

Main Purpose of Job

The Registered Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care, promoting the rights of young people, and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. They will lead a team of care workers, ensuring positive outcomes for young people’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social development, in compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.

Accountability

Responsible to the Responsible Individuals and Operational Directors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with legislation, regulations, Ofsted SCIFF, and organizational policies, incorporating equal opportunities and safeguarding.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and staff training.
• Maintain appropriate records for young people and staff, and implement monitoring systems.
• Provide management information and statistical data.
• Innovate childcare approaches and promote organizational well-being.
• Attend and chair meetings internally and externally.
• Participate in on-call duties, including sleep-in shifts if required.
• Write concise, evaluative reports and oversee communication standards.
• Make decisions when appropriate.
• Oversee admissions and discharges.
• Lead change and align with organizational ethos.
• Hold a relevant Diploma Level 5 or work towards it.
