Registered Manager - Children's Home

Our client is seeking to appoint a Children's Home Registered Manager who is:

  • Innovative, inspirational, and a positive role model to staff and young people

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years of experience in a children's home within the last five years
  • At least one year in a supervisory or managerial role in a children's home
  • Experience working directly with individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, significant physical impairments, or complex health needs
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to start within three months of appointment

Salary: Starting at £45,365 per annum, increasing to £52,750 after probation and upon completing relevant Level 5 qualification. A generous relocation package is available to support the right candidate.

About the Children's Homes:

Located in Bolton, these homes are designed to be homely and adapted to meet the individual physical and sensory needs of residents. They provide a safe environment for children with disabilities and complex health needs, with up to four young people living together, supervised by a dedicated staff team. Life at the homes emphasizes positive activities, encouraging participation in sports, interests, and outings.

Main duties include:

  1. Promoting the welfare and protection of children and young people
  2. Ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards
  3. Registering and managing the designated children's home
  4. Managing and supervising a team of Support Workers
  5. Ensuring adherence to legislation and policies, creating safe, nurturing environments
  6. Providing responsive assessments and interventions within statutory and organizational frameworks
