Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting a Deputy Manager for a specialist children’s residential assessment service in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality, child-centered care for ages 7-18.

Essential qualifications include a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and at least 2 years’ recent experience in a children’s residential setting. A valid UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent must be held.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential care home within the last 5 years.
• At least 1 year's experience supervising or managing staff in a care environment.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the residential home.
• Lead, supervise and support residential care staff.
• Promote a positive, safe and nurturing environment.
• Support care plans, assessments and risk management.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Support young people with trauma and challenging circumstances.
• Maintain accurate records and professional standards.
• Collaborate with social workers, education providers and other professionals.
• Support staff development, supervision and performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
