Job summary

Brook Street Social Care is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead a children’s residential home within an assessment centre setting. The role involves supervising staff, safeguarding, and coordinating care planning while working to Ofsted standards.

This is a Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, full-time position. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, 2+ years in a children’s home, 1 year supervisory experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential home within the last 5 years.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience supervising or managing staff within a care setting.
• Full UK driving licence and unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the home and lead staff.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, child-centred environment.
• Support care planning, assessments and risk management.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and compliance with Ofsted.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
• Collaborate with social workers, education providers and professionals.
