Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 – Mini VIPs Nursery and Daycare

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Mini VIPs Nursery and Daycare at their Winchcombe setting.

Mini VIPs Nursery and Daycare are a family-run business, a home away from home. As a Mini VIP, your child is treated like one of the family. Our nursery and daycare is a family-run business – and that family ethos is at the heart of everything we do.

We have 3 rooms: Caterpillars (0-24 months), Busy Bees (2-3.5 years), and Butterflies (3 to starting school). We also have a holiday club and wrap-around care including breakfast and after school club for ages 4-12 years.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to a high-quality caring environment for children, creating a warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere.
• Working with children and attending all training as set out in your training agreement.
• Completing all assignments set on time.
• Working as part of the team.
• Liaising with mentor and manager.
• Attending team meetings and participating in sharing ideas.
• Providing all aspects of care for children under supervision, including washing, changing, and feeding.
• Assisting with the personal, social, and emotional needs of individual children.
• Providing adult-led interactions with children in the nursery.
• Abiding by the nursery’s Safeguarding children and child protection policy, and Confidentiality policy.
• Contributing to good standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the nursery.
• Respecting the confidentiality of all information received.
• Developing and maintaining strong partnerships and communications with parents/carers.
• Being aware of the community profile of the nursery and upholding its standards.
• Understanding emergency and fire evacuation procedures.
• Being aware of sections 7 and 8 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Working across the nursery rooms as part of training.

Hours:

• Mini VIPs Nursery and Daycare is open from 8.00 am – 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed.

Requirements:

• Experience in a childcare environment is required.
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
• Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
