Job description

Little Swanswell Nursery provides a high standard of care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We foster a family-friendly approach with many of our current and existing staff members using our setting for their own children and families. We are located opposite Coventry College and within walking distance from Coventry University and the City Centre.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a permanent position upon successful completion.
• Provide an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
• Support children’s learning and development, including planning and observations.
• Prepare and maintain the environment and resources for the children.
• Prepare food for breakfast, snack, and afternoon tea.
• Support children’s self-help needs.
• Be creative and enthusiastic.
• Follow safeguarding rules and undertake First Aid training as required.
• Undertake training as appropriate to meet any changes in standards or legal requirements.
• Ensure that all Health and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to.
• Gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification at the end of the course.
• Complete training remotely via teams, with support from your tutor.
• Participate in online remote training sessions scheduled once every week for the first 8 weeks.
• Complete your Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification.

Apprentices are required to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of the business. The average working week will be between 30-40 hours, Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.
