Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Lead/Principal Systems Engineer to join our Precision Guidance team in the UK. The role focuses on executing systems engineering activities, providing expert guidance, and shaping technical vision for projects across multiple lifecycle stages.

The position supports a flexible hybrid working model, combining on-site Basildon with home-based work where appropriate. You will influence artefact development, governance, and stakeholder alignment while leading

Qualifications

Proven experience leading or principal Systems Engineering roles.
Experience applying governance and guidance on Systems Engineering lifecycle processes.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Influence the development of engineering artefacts and technical direction across projects.
Work across demanding, full-scale development programmes in Precision Guidance.
Act as the focal point for systems engineering governance on the project.
Provide coaching to engineers on Systems Engineering practices across lifecycle stages.
Ensure appropriate modelling and simulation techniques inform architectures and options.
Contribute to safety, security, manufacture and through-life support considerations.
