A leading NHS Trust is seeking a Chief Registrar to lead initiatives in the Emergency and Integrated Care division. This role offers significant development opportunities through a tailored program by the Royal College of Physicians. The position is open to both full-time and part-time trainees, providing a unique chance to enhance clinical skills while contributing to high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
This leadership position is aimed at senior specialty trainees and offers 40% protected time to develop and implement initiatives within the Trust’s Emergency and Integrated Care (EIC) division.
The clinical responsibilities are based within the Acute Medicine departments at West Middlesex Hospital, covering the Acute Medicine Unit, Enhanced Care Area, Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit, and the acute medical take.
Chief registrars will have access to a bespoke development programme provided by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), running from September 2023 to June 2024, consisting of five 2-day modules that attendance is expected.
Applications are open to both full-time and part-time trainees. The post will be on the 2002 Junior Doctor Contract with MN37 pay scale.

The role can be undertaken in or out of programme training, depending on local workforce requirements and individual needs. Extensions to the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) are negotiated locally, with approval from the relevant specialist advisory committee for Out of Programme Training (OOPT) requests.
